Aircraft Ground Service Equipment and Service
In August 1997, AirT organized Global Ground Support to acquire the Simon Deicer Division of Terex Aviation Ground Equipment to further diversify the Company's customer base and business mix within the aviation industry. Global manufactures, sells, services and supports aircraft deicers and scissor lift trucks, as well as other specialized industrial service equipment, on a worldwide basis. Global's primary customers are the U.S. military, passenger and cargo airlines, as well as airports located in the United States and in international markets. Global's operations are based in Olathe, KS. Global currently manufactures several models of deicing equipment and cabin service and catering trucks. Each model can be customized as required by the customer, including the addition of fire suppressant and flow metering equipment, modifications for open or enclosed cab design and style of the exterior finish.  GAS provides ground equipment maintenance and airport facilities maintenance.
